Question Skill sit query

Looking at the builds threat, I notice that 2 of the skills I (being a noob in Ranger land) am using extensively, Called Shot (which cannot be blocked) and Hunter Shot, are hardly used.
Is there any specific reason for that??

As usual your expert knowledge much appreciated

Well, I believe that Called Shot has an energy cost of 10 and doesn't do any addition damage, so not really a preferred skill when it comes to PvE or PvP.

Hunter's Shot is quite a nice skill, 5 energy, additional damage and possible cause of bleeding. Others may prefer an interupt or a self heal. Hunter's Shot was rather nice after a Crippling Shot as the target was moving alot slower so you would be inflicting Cripple + Bleeding. (Poison aswell, assuming you had Apply Poison in effect). So thats a Cripple and 3 Degen (7 if had Apply Poison.)

Hope that helps.

Its used in a Degen build for PvP (I believe) which focuses on using all sorts of degen to just annoy the enemy. You just use Apply Poison to keep spreading the poison around your entire team so the monk wastes energy trying to mend all of it... and then you can also help out by crippling, bleeding, and/or hexing one of the targets to help your team out.

Called shot costs 5, not 10 energy.

I'd explain why they're rarely seen, but I specialize in Beastmastery, not Marksmanship. ^_^

I suspect it's mostly because both of them are so conditional, though. They don't really do much unless your target is doing something specific.

called shot is used when using spinal shivers, or thunderclap, or incendiary arrows

And I'm sure it will see more use with a Dazer build with the coming of Factions.

Called Shot also moves 3x faster without RtW or FW boosts, and is decently spammable. This can make things like Incendiary Arrows {E} or Choking Gas powerful.

Apply Poison+Hunter Shot are Degen combo best friends. -7 pip Degen in one shot. Called shot, I used before to stop Ranger/Trapper in PvP or in my interrupt Builds (Concussion shot Builds or Incendiary Arrows)
